English Study Plan — Pronunciation & Speaking

Teacher: Hermes  ·  Start: August 7, 2026
Mode: self-paced — teacher defines goals, provides resources, tracks progress; student does the practice.

Goals (12-week program)

  • Pronounce all English sounds correctly, including difficult pairs (th/s, v/w, l/r, short/long vowels)
  • Speak with natural rhythm and intonation (stress-timed, not syllable-timed like Vietnamese)
  • Hold a 5-minute conversation on any topic without freezing
  • Understand native speakers at normal speed in podcasts/videos without subtitles

Weekly rhythm

  • Sat & Thu: Sounds + Words (phonemes + minimal pairs)
  • Mon: Listening (podcast/video comprehension)
  • Tue: Speaking (shadowing + recording yourself)
  • Wed: Listening + shadowing combo
  • Fri: Conversation (real practice) + progress report
  • Sun: REST
